Mr. Parein told me somebody contacted him a few years ago and asked for pictures because he wanted to paint his barndoor in the Parein color scheme. Could that be you Boss?
He only got hold of the pictures a few weeks ago, he bought a picture album from the widow of the painter that painted all the Parein cars between 1930 and 1965. He made pictures of all his work.
There was at least 1 other barndoor in a different color scheme:

...THIS one is a younger Barndoor too... the 28 is probably a '52: it still has piano-hinge windows, no back bumper, BUT allready 2 reflectors in the back, so no '51... THIS one is '54 I think... |

GREAT news to hear Mr. Parein could buy this old album from the old painter's widow !!
Pix912, so he told you someone contacted him for picutres?? well, on page 1 of this topic, you can read in my post:
".... NOT ME, but someone else from this forum, got in contact with the PAREIN family about a year ago, and they didn't know much on this... the old Mr. Parein's grandson had a huge collection himself, including the little bus of course, BUT he said they didn't really use Volkswagens those days!!!! he SUPPOSED the tin-box and money-box designers just USED them as these Transporters were well known over here too, and popular, so a popular car on that house, that would sell better, no?? I'll ask this friend if he remembers more details from this story, and I'll ask him to add some in this topic, ok?? ..."
WELL, THAT was to ask him photos,... to paint a barndoor panel, yes! and NOW Mr? Parein recently got this album... so the story that he told in 2009, that tehy actually didn't have Barnddor busses, NOW changed in a very GOOD way
...so now Boss, you, me, and a LOT of belgian guys hope that one day, a real one might show up !!!

Effectively i was the guy who contacted mr Dimitri Parein because when i discover with help from ambu 55 and buy after a long time searching the existence of those 2 tin boxes a lot of years ago , i really want to know if it had really existing. On that time mr Parein told me that he didn t know....i had on that time a panel that was in need of resto so....but a few time later ,i had the possibility to buy another Belgium B. Panel in original paint so i take the decision to sell the project ...and really now the deal will be to find an original Parein one ,only an original one....here i give the paper who proved that the tin barn box came from 1953. I recieve this scan from Mr Dimitri Parein himself.
Cash is waiting for the original one....today or tomorrow.
Maybe is there anywere an old paint on a panel and after a strip tease from Marc Lapriore work or andre B ,we find an original Parein...dreams.....

Actually seeing these pictures, I guess it was not 28 bus
the company exists since 1895, the various vehicles so their number displayed successively
http://www.parein.eu/vrachtwagens-biscuit-parein.html
number 44 is not a barndoor but already I would agree
Best regards |

Yes, number 44 would be nice too ...it might be THIS panel, seen on an old postcard from near the Belgian coast... it's also a '63 model with orange turnsignals on the front and still the small rear hatch... but allready the '63-'67 taillights...

WOW their variety in vehicles is incredible !
Most of the Big trucks seem to be either German or British WW2 surplus, but the brandnew 49/50 chevy panelvan would be an extremely rare car in Continental Europe, especially with chromed DLX grille trim. By then the VW wasn't available yet, probably the reason why they had to go for this US intermediate van. the Citroen is cool too. Nice finds! _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !
