My October 54's MKA is 2815 |
I checked mine on the weekend but stupidly didn't write it down. I'm pretty sure mine is also an October '54 and would have guess it was MKA 2684(those numbers popped into my head just now)....but seeing yours is 2815, I'm thinking maybe mine is 2864 being that I think it's also an October '54. I'll have to check again, but there might be 130ish between them I guess and 2684 could be right. |

Mine is
MKA 8974
VIN 1-0990519
I believe it's a September 55 built / 56 Model?
Sorry don't have the origignal engine number.
As for paint, I'm not sure as the original that lays under a few different coats is somewhat grey but not sure if it's grey enough to be Gunyah Grey. _________________ 1956 RHD Oval.

When I had my 56 it was chassis number 990306 and the birth certificate was 17 Oct. So I'd reckon yours would be a little bit later. |

The MKA'S don't follow the chassis numbers, two of my Ovals are both Sept 56 and the chassis numbers are 626 apart from each other, but the MKA's are only 575 Apart.
My MKA'S are:
MKA 2815 OCT 1954
MKA 7118 1955
MKA 15801 JULY 1956
MKA 17181 SEPT 1956
MKA 17756 SEPT 1956

My Aussie oval is MKA 8833 speedo says Aug '55.
I bought this car in 1982 for parts for another Oval I was restoring at the time, after driving it home I decided it was too good to part out, I have stored it since, I pulled it out of storage on the weekend, the time has come to get it back on the road.

1982! That's a long time to store a car....I don't know how people do it without wanting it on the road.
