It could qualify as a bastard though, since it has been modified for unique usage.
However, they appear to have done a quality job and I quite like it!

I thought this, well I thought that that hacked bug body looks a little too clean for this use. Also the bloke "driving" seems to be sat on the popper top. |

I've also seen a Beetle done in a similar fashion, but at least it was smoothly melded! The yard-art's not too bad though!
