So I wanted to get a little better access to the space underneath the westy swivel seats.

Ideally I would soundproof both, install a subwoofer (Pioneer TS-WH500A) under the drivers seat, and add some sort of a battery kill switch under the passenger seat. I have contemplated adding some sort of storage space under the passenger seat as well, space permitting. perhaps one of these bulldog drawers

All of these mods necessitate cutting out the tin at the front of the swivel bases. I would like to make some sort of a hinge - or faux cover there so that the bases appear unmodified - partially obscuring the amp/kill switch/storage - any ideas on how to best accomplish this?

The RMW drawers are reasonably priced and fit very well. They have a flange that covers the carpet so it looks very tidy.
