with the aluring available? Where to find?

Those don't look right for a 49/50 at all. The aluminum is way too wide.

I can send you one if it helps, but the aluminum is crimped onto the glass and the whole works into the metal housing so I don't think just a ring or just a housing will work. |

Yes you're right. I thought Käfer Nostagie provides very good reproductions – but the comparison tells the truth.
Other part but same issue therefore asking here:
I need a ribbed body trim set for my 50's Split and thought about ordering these at Käfer Nostalgie as they offer it here in Germany too. The Pictures look quite good, but Im uncertain if these result that non original as well.

it looks to me that the wider one is looking at it from the inside and the thinner one is showing it from the outside
