I had a bit of surface rust that i wanted to take care of. I removed any rust I could get to with a dremel and other tools. Some spots I took back to bare metal, however most I did not.
Paint:
2x coats of Spray Max 2K Epoxy Rust Cure Aerosol Primer 3680032
2x top coats of Sherman William's Dimension H.S. Urethane Enamel Single Stage.
I don't plan to drive in the winter. However If there was anything else I can do for more protection I'd like to know. I would like to keep that color underneath. I was thinking a transparent wax but maybe I should just leave it?

I would at least treat the remaining rust by phosphotizing it with watered down phosphoric acid.
Where are the torsion bars? _________________ My beetle is not competing with your beetle. I have the yellow beetle in my town. There is a red one, a green one ......
