I'm thinking about moving up in years to a 1970 bus to get all the modern comforts, and the one I've spotted has a nasty crack in the dash. Does anyone sell a new skin/cover/repair piece to cure this problem? If not, has anyone every changed out a dashboard and is it a nightmare? Thanks for any advice or solutions. |

I once saw a Bay with a top dash cover but it looked ugly. I went to a junkyard and bought a lower dash for $25. Removing a Bay dash is not too bad. You have to unkook the steering column and all those knobs and switches and stuff, but you can do it all in an hour or so. Just make sure you label all the wires and everything and be careful as the connections are all very old... and thus fragile. |
