395 is a fun route. Something about being on Eastern Oregon BLM land makes me feel light and free. I think we slept at Lake Abert twice last summer while travelling through the area. We call it Lake Stinky now because it's kinda stinky. _________________ 1990 Westfalia, GW2.2, Peloquins TBD |

| I love those pictures of Lakeview. I've really enjoyed going down there in the van a couple of times. It's just it's own world! |

It seems like a nice part of the country, wish we'd had more time to check it out.
My brother got a couple of rolls of film developed from the trip. He was shooting with my dad's Canon FT-b. Here are some of his photos that I thought turned out pretty nice.
That camera has a pano mode and that's what's going on in the last photo. Props to him for learning to shoot with it on the trip and for dealing with the frustrations that can come with film. Not that practical, but pretty damn classic. Kind of like these old camper vans.
Brakes are fixed, 5 new tires, new radius rod bushings, 4 wheel alignment, replaced the busted muffler with the diesel cat that I've had on the shelf, and put a new front bumper on it yesterday. Now all I want to do is drive it.
Anyone going to NorthWest MogFest? |
