Took apart my 1970 Bus last year and ended up with this lone part - not labeled. Anyone know what it is?

the screw is not a stock VW part. What part of the bus were you working on. _________________

| So that's the problem. I had the complete underside torn out as well as all of the interior except the dash. So really I don't "know" exactly where. At this point, it could have been my wife that threw the part in my myriad of boxes just to mess with me for all I know. Then it truly would have been a "screw u". Odd that the majority of parts removed were bagged and labeled, except this.... |

from the color I believe it's part of one of those kayak/bike/ski/slug-on-top-of-the-Subaru rack systems.
So. Do you or have you ever owned a Subaru?
I kid but it's some clamping/bracing block along those lines...... |

by the way - welcome here. Hang around.
Do you have any appliances, pots and pans, etc., kid's things that the wife has been bugging you to fix? Maybe it was a reminder. _________________

I don't think that is a VW part. _________________ John
