Trying to id a cam, without splitting the case. Here is a pic of the stamping on the end. Looks like I may need to break out the dial indicators next. Anyone recognize it?

That makes sense, as the pistons that were in it may have been DRD as well. Was told they were so old, I'd spend a lot of time trying to buy a single replacement piston. So bought a set of pistons and cylinders.
Totally new to VWs.
The lift measured at the cam is .330-.335. Local bug shop says its not anything crazy lift-wise, which makes me happy. Don't need anything finicky for my first experience.
1835cc with dual Kadrons.

A DRD would have been bolt on. That looks like a regrind based on an original cam.
Delta?
Elgin?
Who knows...? |

| Reground cams are stamped 280 sometimes. It’s for the duration. Similar to an Engle 110 maybe |
