very strange, why these early, new looking convertibles when everything else shows cars from 1960? including a crewcab at 1:41

The bear was a symbol of Berlin, so it was appropriate to bring a "live" one to advertise the auto show. Here's a statue of the bear on the Autobahn near Berlin-

That seems to be a recurring problem, especially in the military photos. The rear axle seals didn't seem to hold up.

Nice 8 min video from 1951 about cars in Finland. Mostly prewar and post-war US cars, also a 1951 L90 Sand Crotch-Cooler Split Beetle at about 3.08 minutes included. Please note that hubcaps have NO VW logo, they are Porsche 356 caps which were used because a Soviet confiscated German company established to import KdF-Wagens during the war claimed it had rights to the KdF/VW logo the blocked the use of the logo. The logo was finally cleared in 1955. The story is not to buy a used junker like mistake made by the guy in the film who bought a 1938-39 Adler Trumpf Cabrio-Limousine. Considering that in 1951 the Volkswagen was the most sold car in Finland, not too many Splits in the traffic.

Very nice film but the "Adler" is a Hansa/Borgward 2000 or 2300 from 1938-1942.
