Gary IS a great guy. He helped restore my 69 vert while at Transporterwerks. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. I EXCLUSIVELY use Gary for my service and repairs on my 69, and he and I are working on a 54 panel van project together now.. |

Very Cool, I wish him the best in the success of the shop. I too am going to open a shop, Tallahassee, Fl. It's a tough time in the economy but honesty and quaility should keep it going. Good Luck Gary in your venture. _________________ Current:74 Ghia Coupe w/ 2276

I've contacted Gary several times and I'm not getting any response.
Is he still around?
If not…anyone hear good things about T-Hoff? I'm heard bad things about transporterwerks |

Gary is still around. T-Hoff sells parts and parts only if that is what you are looking for. (They do not carry alot of ACVW parts anymore like they used too) Everything bad you have heard about Transporterwerks is the TRUTH and everything GOOD you might have heard about Transproterrwerks is probably a LIE.... |

I've been going to the T hoff for years who have always done excellent work but unfortunately don't really do much machining on Vdubs anymore which is kind of made it a problem working on VW's around here as the only other place I know of that does machining his walker but even they don't do things like line boring and stuff . I the reason I found this thread in Google is because I have a set of 1600 dual port heads Gary redid about 10 years ago I'm thinking of selling and wondering what they're worth? _________________ Looking for Groovy Bumper Stickers? I am wondering if there are enough VW-bug/bus enthusiasts in the Triangle area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel-Hill) to create some sort of club/meeting.
