Hi everyone, my wife and I are planning on going to the BBB in two weeks. It's our first ever camping event. We're planning on leaving on Friday morning for Havasu and staying until Sunday. Anyone else going?

I'm planning on being there Wednesday evening. I'm very excited as this is my favorite VW event to attend and it's been 2 years since the last one. I'll be in my 71 Dormobile next to my dad's 60 split. Hope to see you there, it's a blast! _________________ 1971 Dormobile "Juliett"

I haven’t decided if I’m leaving Thursday or Friday, likely the latter. Either way I’m heading out from Surprise on the 60 to the 72 - seems like a good route, unless someone knows otherwise. What are you driving? I’ll be in my ‘62 DC, cruising between 55 and 65, well, except for the hills haha. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

Most likely showing up in my '69 camper from San Diego. Anyone else coming in from that area looking for a cara-bus? We don't do interstates these days.

Vital question: how many buses are ALREADY crashing the gate? _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

All right, the plan is now to leave Thursday morning from Surprise, up the 303 to 60 and so on. Anyone else leaving that way in the wee hours that is not bent on travelling quickly? Haha. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

I plan on causing a traffic jam on I10 to Quartzsite then head up north on Highway 95 to Havasu. |

That’s my new plan, hoping to be there in Quartzsite exit 19 (AM/PM - Chevron exit) by about 7:30 tomorrow morning (Thursday). Anybody else going to be in the area around the same time heading up the 95? _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

It was nice seeing everyone, and meeting so many great new people. I only took a few photos; had too good of a time to take more…

My bus is on the right at 19:50-ish. I got a decent collection of pictures, so here's some of them that turned out best:

Total fill ups: 7
Gallons of fuel consumed: 32.39
