I recently got a kinda cool bus. It is a '61 mouse grey Westy. German delivered, european spec camper. I bought it off this site last summer, and it finally arrived.
The last pic shows the super rare westfalia side skirt for the bus. I have seen plenty of tents, but I have never seen one of these. _________________ .

My 59 SO23 has the same lower snaps but no lower tent curtain, so I always wondered about that as I couldn’t find any pictures of one. Looks like mine must have also had the curtain. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Congrats Lind!
Aside from the obvious stuff, that floor floor is nice!
What are the red and green knobs on the dash for? |
Thanks.
The seller had photos of it up on the lift, being held on all four jack points. I figured he was kind of showing off how solid it was.
I have not investigated the dash knobs yet.

You are welcome to borrow my skirt to get measurements to make one for your bus is you want. _________________ .

VERY, VERY NICE BUS!
I thought you had already all busses, Lind. It is funny to see you are still getting excited about having a new one! And which one! So clean!
How does this skirt hold? Clipped?
Enjoy it! _________________ Freedom for the Catalan Countries

Thanks. I just keep finding more buses that I like...
The skirt is held on by Tenax fasteners, just like the sides of the tent are held to the top. Unfortunately they were removed from the bus at some point, just leaving the holes. I ordered some new ones, so I can properly attach the skirt. _________________ .

Incredible Bus and accessories. The hanging closet is sort of similar to one I have that came with an early Bay window side tent. I've never seen another one like it and not sure if it's original VW stuff but it's of the same period it appears to me.

I believe that the hanging closet is just a general German camping accessory. It does look right at home in a westy. _________________ .

Congrats Lind! I know how much you love MG buses so this must be especially awesome to own. I've seen one other example of the tent skirt, pictured here:

Very cool to see that there is at least one other out there. Which bus did that skirt come on, or was it loose? I guess they are more common on Westfalia camp trailers. The trailer ones have one wheel cover, while the bus ones have two. _________________ .

Nope. I haven't even touched the mechanicals yet. Planning on a moxee debut for this one. Probably with my other mouse grey also, so us nerds can compare and contrast. _________________ .
