I've read in a few places that thing torsion arms are specific to the car. That they are reinforced or heavier duty. Is it more than that?

I've read in a post here that regular bug arms can be used if the l & r are swapped and installed upside down. True/false?

I've also read that it's a matter of installing the lower ball joints in the correct orientation and bug/thing arms have the same geometry. Truse/false?

I know the ball joints are Thing specific.

I'm still kicking around rebuilding a beam for my 74 that I can just bolt on whenever I finish it. This will be my first time and I hope to not end up with a bin full of the wrong parts Smile
