Has anyone replaced their Ghia nose with a fiberglass front clip? My 66 is fine from the doors back, but the nose is in need of some serious cosmetic repair. The rest of the car is fine, especially the drive train, but I don't have a lot of $$, so I'm looking for a compromise. |

Fiberglass front clip is not the way to go if $$$ are a concern. YOU have to fabricate it's attachment points, how it will hinge, and what it will rest on when closed.
How much/ how badly is the nose damaged? John Kelly at www.ghiaspecialities.com makes nose repair patches. |

The nose, front apron, fenderwells, and around the headlights are either crunched or rusted. Basically from the fenderwells forward needs help. I can handle the fenderwells, but the nose is a little too complex for my skills. I'll check out their website. |

I think aircooledhead thought you were talking about the whole front clip - from the doors forward. They do make a fiberglass nose, which is basically the section between the headlight buckets. I the effort required to actually graft the part in would be quite a task, especially if your headlight buckets are messed. I would suggest finding a donor front piece, original german steel to weld on. Sometimes there are pieces in the ghia section on this site. It will just look better in the long run.
heres a link to the fiberglass so you can see the piece.
