ok i got a 71 super and i love the look of the 67 fender's so i am wondering if i can fit them on my car and if it would look right... |

I believe the back fenders will fit, but the front fenders definitely will not work. Super Beetle and Standard Beetle front fenders will not interchange, even for the same year. |

you can make them fit i think all you have to do is replace the front apron with a earlier one but im not sure , guys in europe do this all time becasue its hard to find a rust free early bug around . |

Let me repeat myself. You CANNOT interchange Standard and Super Beetle front fenders without MAJOR and CREATIVE alterations. The rear fenders, from 68-72, are the same. However, there may be other years' rear fenders that fit on your 71, though they may look a bit different.

how do the guys fit them then. if you look in the mags like volksworld there are supers with the earlier fenders. i knoe that the front apron is totally different but they do it somehow so it is possible |

i know it's possible thats why i asked. i talked to someone who had a 73 super and he had some 60 year fenders on it and it looked fine although there was just a little size difference from the apron and the fender's... |
