how hard will it be to take out a trasmission on a 73 super? how hard will it be to put a new 1? any advice? THANKS

A lot easier than replacing a swingaxle!
Pretty straight forward. Engine out, CV's disconnected, shift coupler loose, clutch cable disconnected, front and rear motor mounts loose, remove tranny, replace tranny, reconnect. Hardest part is getting shifter right again. One day job by yourself-easy.

I would check the stuff out in your other thread before replacing the transaxle. Good luck.
