I have read lots of info about installing a 2nd battery and yesterday I went out and bought a battery for my 1990 full camper. But under the driver seat is the relay that seems to be all wired in and goes to the fridge? Where do i wire in the aux battery?

I got the van a year ago and have been fixing various things...haven't got the appliances to work yet or the shore power to work...The Bentley has diagrams for 2 battery setup, but I think I need an extra relay in my van?

And what is the dual fuse for thats sits on top the Aux. battery box?

here is a link to a picture:

thanks for any advice:)

You'll need a kit for the second battery, Terry Kay sells them: http://community-2.webtv.net/VanStuff/VanagonWestfalia/
It's the 9.99$ one.

The fuses I believe are for the fridge and I think water pump?

Tom, thanks for the link.

I have the wires for the battery, but I don't know where to plug them into, since the only relay in the battery box is used for the fridge Confused

I use the House Battery kit from GoWesty, and have been very happy with it.
