Anybody know if Jamie Rivers is still making hitches? I've tried contacting him, but haven't heard back. Looking to get a 2" receiver style hitch. _________________ Paul

Thanks for the info Shawn, I'll drop another line in case my email got filtered out of their inbox. Out of curiosity, when did you order yours and what was the turnaround time? _________________ Paul

I got mine as a gift so I am not real sure but.....
I started talking with Jamie in October, but as far as I know my other did not order the hitch until beginning of December (when I emailed her the link as a hint)
As for his turn around time.. I depends on if he has any in stock made already or if he has to build one. _________________ "I choose to use CAA on old cars with character...instead of car payments on a new car "

Hi Shawn ! Your Mom's email got hung up in cyberspace.. but she phoned me... and just got in the nick of time! lol I didn't have any in stock at the time, and I was heading out the door for a week in the south seas... so she begged me to take the money and send the hitch and let me in on a couple other stories when they pulled your leg with things you wanted but they pretended they didn't want to give you!
So.. if your trying to get me.. and I don't answer email ... then try to call

I am sure glad that you found the time to meet my Mom's request. Even though I will not need the hitch until spring it is nice to have the part here, it is not installed yet but it sure looks like a GREAT job.
I am extremely happy to have a real hitch. I tow a small trailer behind the bus that holds all my camping stuff. My last bus had a hitch just attached to the bumper
I am just hoping that it fits with the Camper Special engine that I ordered. I will need to change my exhaust too for the new engine.

I finally got mine installed today. I had to remove the chain connectors on either side of the receiver to allow for clearance for my exhaust. Other than that, the install really was a piece of cake! The only visible portion is the receiver...

They are attached with the bumper bracket that attaches to the frame. You have to buy longer bolts, but that's it. No new holes... _________________ Paul

That is super clean looking you can hardly tell its there. Now you can hang one of those big nutsacks from it like the local rednecks do here in KY. _________________ 1985 Westy

Kinda like my signature says. I'd rather have old cars.....
I figure since I don't to make car payments for the bus, I can treat myself and make it nice I also got new Hankook RA08s too
Last year (calendar year) was extra special with the Camper special, but I think my bus deserves it _________________ "I choose to use CAA on old cars with character...instead of car payments on a new car "

Who is this Jamie Rivers guy, and where can I reach him? Link above doesn't work. His hitches look NICE! Curious to know if he's still making them and for how much?
Thanks! _________________ 85 Westy |

I'm not sure whether or not he's still selling them. I've tried going back to the linked site several times as well with no luck. I was thinking of getting a front hitch if he's still making them. Anybody know? _________________ Paul

Jamie can best be described as an International Man of Mystery. A Bearded man, A Gentleman to be sure, and a busy man.
But seriously, I was camping with him and bunch of others from around our area on Feb 21st. The topic of the hitches came up and he said they might be on hold for awhile. I think he had said that he might do some again in the future but I am not 100% sure. I of course would be on the list for one if he made them available. They are very sturdy and truly well thought out. _________________ "If it isn't leaking you should check your oil"

How much does the rear 2" receiver hitch assembly for the late Bay Bus weigh?
