So the point of this thread is to get karma by giving things away that you don't need. Generally van related or connected.

*****************
(Moderator edit)
Here's how this thread works:
1) Post a list of parts you would like to give away for free (or for cost of shipping).
2) If you want any of the listed parts, send the "seller" a PM (private message).
3) Once you've parted-it-forward, please edit your post with GONE! at the top; if you have multiple items, place a GONE!=> in front of the part(s) you've karma'd. If it's too late to edit your post, please PM a moderator and s/he will do it for you.

Please keep pointless banter out of this thread, this includes "thanks!" replies. Any posts not listing parts up for grabs will be removed.

If you see something you want, but the seller won't ship, go to this topic to find someone who's willing to drive it to you:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=693686 .

Karma idea:
*You may NOT receive an item and then sell it. Use it, give it back, or karma it again. Don't be that guy.
**You may NOT request any items. Either it comes up or it doesn't.
***Post your location; first come, first served.

GONE!
I have a 1986 stock chrome w/ black rubber rear bumper. Great condition. Includes end caps (one slightly busted). Sitting in the back yard with nothing to do. Who wants it?

I'm in Marina del Rey, CA. Come get it or parts train it somewhere.

I have parts in a milk crate in my driveway on the coast in Montara California ready for the first lucky Vanagon owner to pick up! To wit:

1 - Blue Sea Automatic Charging Relay for your non Li-Ion battery, which works great and has served me well. Just intalled solar panels and new relay so this is surplus

1 - One Odyssey Extreme Battery (CCA: 810, PHCA: 1550) from the above mentioned setup. Used, but has held a 12.42 volt charge over the 18 months since I removed it without recharging. Case was carved with Dremel to perfectly fit second battery box behind driver's seat so lid can close.

3 - 2-plastic vanagon seat slider bushings for front seats, disused due to addition of Town and Country front seats from Small Car

4 - Bug Screen for front free air inlet, disused when I installed flapper control

5 - For bottom Cabinet below sink: Original riser that lifts base of front cabinet above sink drain along with nice vertical paper towel dowel and base.

6 - One 750 Watt DC to AC Power Inverter by Vector. Wheezes a bit when turns on due to a cooling fam bearing, but silences after restart. 1500 watt peak output.

Fuel sensor, worked well when I removed it when cleaning and replumbing tank. Since the tank was out, I replaced it with a new sensor, but this one works. You will probably need a new o-ring. Whatever you feel would be fair postage to wherever you are.

I have front door interior and sliding door panels to give away, not perfect otherwise I wouldn't have replaced them, but useable as is or could be straightened. Grey, 1987 Syncro, electric windows. The original map pocket is there but cracked...could be repaired...

Pick up in Mendocino, CA, or possibly on one of my trips to East Bay area. PM if interested.

Free Spectra fuel tank VW3B, with the large filler neck opening and 7mm fuel outlet (for early vans)

https://ecat.spectrapremium.com/en/parts/VW3B

I purchased this a few months back and leak tested it prior to installation into my van. It was during this that I found out it was leaking from the seam along the rear of the tank. ( see this thread https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=764974 )

I reached out to Amazon and they refunded me for the tank, however they did not request to the have tank sent back to them. They simply told me to "dispose of it however I wish". I figured I would offer it up here for free before I take it to the scrap yard. Maybe someone who is more ambitious (see: cheap) than I can try and repair it and have a good new tank for free. Some of the poorly applied silver paint is also peeling off already

FYI this tank has NOT been filled with gasoline at all. I simply used an EVAP smoke machine to leak test it. In case you were thinking of trying to weld it, it should be safe to do so (insert legal disclaimer here)

Due to obvious large size, local pickup only (central PA)

Set of repro side mirrors from Bus Depot. Convex so you see more but objects are way closer than they appear. Used a couple of months but replaced with the land rover mirrors.

Stock tow hitch with hardware. Good used condition.

Stock replacement a/c receiver / dryer. Acm Germany 944 573 143 00

Pick-up in Brooklyn NY. Or for those in upstate NY, I’ll be in the Adirondack’s late July / early August so could meet up somewhere.

As pictured. You can mount them with an elastic string along the top & bottom or use hooks on a sliding rail.

Need a brake caliper for a big brake upgrade? No carrier, but you can order those cheap from RockAuto and modify to suit. Two piston Girling caliper from an early 90s Audi used in the big brake kits. Pick up only. I can point you to the other Audi parts you'll need. Please only pick this up if you'll use it. Located in southern NH.

Never used, still in box.

Free stock Dometic fridge. Worked well on 120v as well as 12v. Also worked well running on propane, once I got it started (which was finicky at times). Not sure why the photo uploaded sideways, but you know what it looks like. No shipping, pick up only in Central PA area.

Not the best gift, but an old starter from a 2.1 WBX auto. It stopped working, I believe it was a stuck solenoid, but not sure anymore...
Works as a core though...
Local pick up in Victoria, BC (Vic West area).

Anyone need a Terrawagen 2wd partial flare?

A Terrawagen kit comes with options for both 2wd and 4 (2wd having the cutout for the fuel filler), so this is left over.
