I've been looking for some kind of storage/organizer to go in between the front seats of my 73 Bay. Something you can put drinks in, wallets, phones etc. Having trouble finding something that works.

Any body know where I can get something like that?

Cheers for any ideas.

Hmm. What do I keep my stuff in. Hmm. Wink

My bus had a generic cup holder/tray you can find at Auto Zone in it when I bought it between the seats, held down with velcro or something. Ugly but highly functional. Why not build you one. Take the measurements of the standard westy box, but with a top that has cup holders and a storage tray?

Edit: Best pic I had, pre trash can.

I got a nice one at Wally world Very Happy for $30, lots of storage, fits perfect between the seats.... Cool holds 4 drinks, and lots of junk in side and it locks Smile A little messy, but you get the picture Rolling Eyes

I like the idea of building one and combining it with a cup holder on top too.

Cheers, think I know what I want to do now.

REmember the westy box has rubber stubbers to hold it inplace between the seats. Otherwise it will slide about. Good luck and post pics!

It's sticky enough on the sides that it doesn't roll around or move at all. It's available in many colors. Drinks, phones, small crap fits in it.

I quite like this for the price:

http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=3721&category_id=66&category_parent_id=

I could build a box to mount it on so it sits as high as the seats. Comes in tan too, so would match the seats.

If you like those, check your local flaps first.

When I got far enough on my bus to almost drive it I thought i might do someting like a console. Drove it for a bit and opted for the parcel trays. I like being able to walk thru vs a storage clutter area. Didn't SGK do one with speakers?

I was thinking about building a box with room to fit speakers in it. Then sit a console on top. I do understand the walk though benefit, I quite like being able to do that too. I also need something to keep the dogs back from the driving area when we take them with us anywhere.

X2 !

LOL
I've been doing that for years.
Cheap, easy, and gets out of your way in seconds if needed. Cool

Funny thing is I tend to hit the corners pretty good and I have yet to lose a single cup of coffee with the duct tape roll Very Happy

ice chest. You can use a cup hanger on the front. You can fill it with ice and cold drinks when traveling. Around town when you are daily driving you can toss all sorts of things in it. And you can upholster the top to match the seats and no one will know it is there cause it will look like a bench seat.

Duck tape won't work. It has too many feathers in it.
