If you ever dare to take off the 2 front kick panels and stick your arm down into trench of trechareous trinkets... I was routing around and felt something hard and odd shaped..thinking it might be same rare part...I pulled it out and it was some nasty skull of some sort of animal...4 big front teeth..maybe a rat or gopher. It is still sitting on my wood pile... Maybe some one wants to crazy glue it to the front of their vehicle...or make a new shifter knob...?

I was thinking that by "strange things" you meant foreign currency, odd pictures, or maybe even a rare part but holy crap dude your talking Forensic files here!! Luckily when I bought mine it was pretty clean, yeah a few leaves here and there and what looked like a rats nest but no body parts in this one. Although at first glance at your pic, I could'nt tell what the hell that was it looked like Big foots hairy member not that I know what that looks like but........ Anyways keep those pics coming very interesting hhmmmm.

i found a brochure from a wild animal training park in san diego from the late 60's. It was a place where they trained animals for movies and people could come and interact with the animals...still have it somewhere.

When I first got my 65 bus, I was cleaning it out and found a rotted piece of masonite with some aluminum trim on it. It was trashed, so I threw it away. It was the middle seat kick panel. live and learn.

I've also found mice (alive and not), old coins, homemade churchkeys, and an M&M's plain candies wrapper from 1984, Olympic edition. The packages were really small back then.

i havent found it yet, but i know its there....the former owner of my westy wrote a bunch of dillusional shit on a piece of paper, put it in a bag, and stuck it under the wood sub floor, kinda like a "time capsule" someday i will pull up the floor and i cant wait to read what kind of half crocked ideas are written on that paper!

I bought a 1961 Westy Hatchtop from a 88 year old guy who goes to church with my Dad. When I got the Bus home and was cleaning out some of the junk inside I found a brown paper bag with a empty bottle of Schnapps and the absolute nastiest porn video I have ever seen. That is saying a lot as I am no rookie when it comes to porno. I imagined the old guy getting bothered with the "old lady", hopping in the Bus, running down to the liquor store, on over to the F St. Book Store, and back to the garage for a little "peace and relaxation". All at the young age of 88 years old! All of this from a upstanding RELIGIOUS old guy! Too funny...

Dug my bus out of a garage that had so much crap piled around it I couldn't tell what kind of bus it was. When I finally got inside it (DD walkthrough panel) it had 4 trashcans worth of 60's and 70's porn. Man that shit back in the day was nasty. Most of the pages were stuck together, I imagine it was 20 year old baby batter. Cool bus though.

My other good one was my first bus a 65 21-window. Found about 25 spent 9mm shells in it. The dude I got it from was kindof a gangsta, wonder if thats why he was selling it, so I would get the retalitation.

In my westy I found a bunch of coins, pens, a '60's kids whistle, a AAA belt up badge a whole lot of nut shells behind the petrol tank where something had been nesting, also found a load of weird insect cocoons and a live .22 bullet, highly illegal here in Blighty. Oh and today (after two years of ownership) I found a tyre iron under the front seat and a licence plate year sticker bag. Shocked

about 13 years ago I bought a nice og paint mango and beige grey 60 standard micro from an old farm lady in Barstow, Ca. The old lady sold it to me for $25. It was stored full of old goodwill clothing. She was all about helping the needy. Anyways, she told me to come back in a week and pick it up because her cat just had kittens in it.
The following week, we hauled it off and the clothes were mostly gone but alot of them were still in there. It stank really bad though. She had left 1 kitten behind and it died funking up the whole inside. We used a shovel and shoveled out the old clothes and decomposed kitten with maggots somewhere in the desert between Barstow and Victorville.
I thought I scored cuz I resold the bus 2 weeks later for $125. You live and learn.
