Hey, nice color! What color is it? That's exactly what I'm looking to paint my '63.

I have been trying to figure out for sure the color name and code myself. Wolfsburg West site has a color chart, but it is not correct. I believe it is Sea Blue. Not too many this color, it is really nice. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me with the pix. I figured out the following: when you click on the pic in the gallery, don't cut and paste the URL in the address window at the top of your browser. That's not the right link. Instead, right click on the pic itself, and go to Properties. There you'll find the correct link. Cut and paste that into the img line in your Readers Ride post and it will then work.

6d6vdub - looks good. Did you get a story from the PO on the rusty spot on the hood? It could be a good story.

79Super - thanks for the tip. I think I may finally get that stuff right now.

No story on the hood, except the PO had it sittin for a long time...and I think he once decided to play bumber cars since it has all the fenders dented along with the decklid and bumbers.... Mad

Plan is as follows:
Paint original color
Tweed interior, kept original style
Earlier smoothie rims on white walls
Mild drop
Engine.....dont know yet...

I love that color Sea blue. Its such a nice color I think it was used on deluxe busses as well as type 3's and bugs so its apparent people really liked it. I think you can get matching sea blue fender beading and running board mats from ISP West, Wolfsburg West and BFY Obsolete.

Thanks Skim, not too much of a matching fender beeding fan, IMO. Crazy thing is that I saw this color once long ago and thought how nice it is. Then I get lucky and find one. Razz

Naw, I really dont think my car is a pile... well, sometimes I do when I think of what I want to do with it. I know, there is much worse rides than mine, and I am not bitching at all or I wouldnt have bought it. Just using a term...loosely.
