So I had gotten a free dometic fridge from a buddy for doing a job for him so I decided to put it in my vanagon. I made a custom cabinet for it. I was wondering how to wire up these to the stock wiring so I can get it to run on the alternator.

Im pretty sure I can tap into some wires to get this running normal I just didn't want it to kill the battery after I turned the key off, or can that just be bypassed by turning the switch propane or shore power when off?

If you don't have the Bentley manual, check out the wiring diagram for the fridge here:

You can wire it up like VW did. Use a relay triggered by ignition. Turn key off, power to fridge is disconnected. Or install a simple toggle switch, but you will have to remember to switch off when parked.
Don't expect vert good cooling results from 12V. I would just go straight propane.
