Hey look at that. Got my star back

Yes, I already knew the answers to my questions. But I’m not sure all the lurkers know why I have a Star. It’s not that I need the Premium benefits but rather to support this ACVW website. Every year I seem to benefit from it. From advice, discounts, meet ups, parts, friends, and some solid entertainment. I’m fortunate to live in a part of the country that is full of
ACVW support and store fronts. So much, that I really don’t even need the Samba.

But I’m thankful for all the people I’ve met and support from the Samba members. A bunch of real good people on this site. Thank you all.

Andrewtf reached out to me with an offer to clean my injectors. I mailed them out with a $20 bill (All I had on me) and he mailed it back with cleaned injectors! And I got to look at architect drawings as it was used as packaging. Wicked awesome of him! Thanks again.

I've learned a lot from this site. For example - I just learned how to get a star! Hopefully it's an authentic quality star and not some Chinese knockoff crap.

I'm glad to have found TheSamba. This forum and all it's info contained and helpful folks on here gave the confidence to buy a classic car.

Thankful for the Samba for assistance through all of my newbie times while learning to wrench on my bug.

Accordingly, I have my special gold star. Well worth it. Probably the best return-on-investment I've done this year.


Also a nod to you Xevin, for enlightening the masses on just what the gold star means. Rock on my friend.


If you don't like stars, still should support the Samba. EvB, admins, and moderators all do wonders to make this one of the highest functioning and useful forums I've ever used.

I used to have a star... but I’m too much of a douche to maintain it. Not sure about any discounts? I mentioned this at AutoBone but all I got was something said in Spanglish which sounded remarkably sarcastic. He did give me a reverse discount, though. Seems like I got a used can of brake parts cleaner. Must have got an astounding 4 ounces out of it. Seemed a little light... better listen to my gut from now on.

I’m going to put the karate video on loop and crank it until my Sansui speakers melt. I’m already in love with the Samurette. She can repeatedly slap the shit out of me.
