HELP! I'm trying to determine the correct sizes (current) for the fuses in my 69 Beetle. The only chart I found indicated 10 amp for all 10 fuse positions. But that's not what's currently in the fuse panel. Help Please!

Assuming the car has stock electrical, just go by the owner's manual. All positions are 8 amp.

Thanks for the chart. My Bug had 8, 16 and 25 amp fuses in it. That's what worried me. But you are confirming what I found so I guess it will be all 8 amps. Thanks again! Curt

Are there any high-current accessories added? That might explain the larger fuses. I'm thinking big stereo, foglamps, aux heater, etc.

I've found often the reason you find a number of 16 and 25 amp fuses installed in a Bug where 8 amp fuses are called for is simply because most of the replacement fuse kits at parts stores came with a mix of 8, 16, and 25 amp fuses -- many VW owners won't throw away perfectly good fuses and will use what they have, even if they're the wrong rating.
