Hello!

First i will start with a short presentation of myself. My name is Peter and i live in the country side out side of Stockholm Sweden. Work as a technician and is educated and experienced machinist.

Me and my wife recently bought a new house with a barn. Finally i will have some room for a proper workshop. So immediately i started to look for a new car project. One thing i had in mind was a rotary powered bug. And amazingly, a project came up for sale. I bought it. But the car was in pretty bad shape. Then this bus came up for sale and i bought it instead. With wife (who loves old VW's), two kids, a dog this was way more practical and defendable to the wife, hehe.

It's been i guess 8 years since the last car project, wich was a BMW 325i with a garagebuilt turbosystem, aftermarket autronic injection etc. Produced about 500hp. Since then ive only worked on choppers due to garage size issues, living in the middle of the capital of Sweden, Stockholm.

Anyhow. Let me introduce my build. It's still in it's planning state, but heres what ive come up with so far:

Tube frame chassis
Mazda 12A rotary from a 85 RX7
Engine will be semi-PP, big single turbo, aftarmarket ecu etc. Goal: 400hp
Engine will be mounted somewhere behind the front seats.

BMW 330XI transmission (4wd)
BMW E39 front and rear suspension (will be heavily modified)
BMW E39 Stearing
Some kind of BMW differentials front and rear. LSD in rear.
Air suspension
Convert the car from RHD to LHD

Im certain i will get both love and hate with this project. But this hot rod bus will be among the coolest shit ever. It will stay rusty and worn on the outside.

And last but not least, this will take some time. I have a family and full time job to manage first. Then comes the car.

It will be one of a kind! Can't wait to see it come together. You can't beat the sound of a rotary.
