I just was thinking it would be cool to somehow add a igniter so I wouldn’t have to constantly remember where I put my grill igniter (long reach lighter) when I want to light the burner. Would be cool to have just a button that makes a spark on both burners. Anyone ever done this? |

It’s all worked out 👍🏽👍🏽
Battery works good, I think a single AA battery lasts several years.
I’m kind of classical, I like lighting a match by striking etc.
I like making a campfire with kindling etc, even if there’s gasoline available.
But I do like this push-button stove igniter mod!
I suppose because the coffee-making process offers enough “ritual”.
How-to with pics:Stove igniter mod anyone? _________________

This one is about 20 minutes from opening the slider to satisfaction. It’s a great mod! _________________ 1986 Westy Weekender

Wow awesome... I’m wanting to make a updated blog or website similar to Reddit, where we can all compile our favorite mods and rank them 1-10 / popularity etc so newcomers and etc can view and contribute without the clutter of casual conversations that happen in these forums. There’s so much here it would take me weeks if not months to sift through. Thanks for providing the links tho! |
