Differences in door glass thickness

I have noticed the glass in the doors of my 1950 standard Beetle are different thicknesses. The original glass in the left side door is just under 5mm (4.75mm), and the glass in the right-side door that I sourced from a 1951 Beetle is 5.70mm, about 1mm thicker. Both are original and have a SEKURIT logo.

Was this amount of difference in thickness typical, or was there a change in door glass from 1950 to 1951/52?

I measured some glasses, and they variate between 4.7 - 5.7 mm, does not matter if was an early pre50 or later split glass, an early or later was thin or thick.
