I think I’ve seen it referred to as J channel but I’m trying to find out exactly what the original was and if it’s available somewhere. It’s the channel that fits between the 3 pieces of wood headliner. _________________ -Will

I'm looking to do the same thing in my '69. I've only read of people getting them from junked Westies, but there must be another source. _________________ John |

Looking through my collected photos of bay window tin tops and older Westies, it seems like some had the joints covered by a strip of trim wood screwed into the roof somehow. _________________ John |

I have never really noticed the headliner in a tin top, is it the same aluminum stuff as in the pop tops but much longer?
Home depot and any plywood or finishing store will have panelling joiner strip, either for plywood or for those plastic shower lining boards if you can live with plastic. Search around, when digging for that pic some aluminum versions also came up.

the very few early tintops I have messed with have what BD posted but in aluminum.
basically, they are the shorter version of the pop top I channel but bent into "hoops" to hold the panels together _________________
