with our old tractor we used to leave in the woods (wood lot) we would just take the steering wheel and distributer rotor.. put the cap back on,
sure it's a PITA but no one can figure it out in the time they think they have to steal em..
now that don't stop determined thieves with a roll back..
which even law enforcment doesn't question a westy on a roll back..

You can also just take one of the two relays in the engine compartment with you. Then they just trash the van.

My Westy disappeared off "The Streets of San Fransisco." It seems a druggie got a hold of it. Even had his own Bentley manual, which we later found. I'd consider a LoJack, if I really worried about it.
FYI: My van ended up in Las Vegas....
