How difficult would they really be to make Eric? I assume the shape, pattern and size are the same? |

Not anytime in my lifetime I'm afraid. The demand for the early RHD mats is so low it wouldn't be financially possible to meet the minimum run requirements. If I had bought a 54 RHD instead of a 56 RHD they might have been made though _________________ Even my nuts are plated.....

I would also agree with Randy. I too picked up my RHD mats from Eric at the Treffen, and they are spot on perfect in every way.
All the time, money, effort and running around that Eric did to get these mats produce is clearly visible in this stellar, never before reproduced item.
I would dare to say that these RHD mats are as nice as the originals, and would probably fool even the most trained eye.
Thank's Eric, I applaud you

Just picked up my RHD mats from Eric @ the SoCal VW Treffen this weekend and W O W !!!
These beauties are Amazing - would be stoked just to get a set , any set of RHD drive mats for my 57 - but these are absolutely stunning , you will not be disappointed . Look at his cars and you know he puts together some EPIC stuff - these RHD mats are of the same caliber .
Much Thanks to you Eric ( 56OvalRHD ) [email protected]

I have been very busy, sorry.
The mats are made for 56-57 with locating pegs. Your '53 originally used snaps for retaining/locating the mats. They will physically fit on the firewall and floor, but with your newer pan, I'm not sure how you should attach them to the floor.
They will fit, and are probably your best option. _________________ Even my nuts are plated.....

Hi Eric and all
Ive been looking high and low for a RHD floormat set for my oval 53. Now it sits on 70s IRS floorpan so do you guys think its a problem> i actually don;t think it is. Perhaps the carpeting that im ordering from Wolfsburg West may have a slight problem but am intending to customise it to the different tunnel and the firewall portion but other wise the width and length of the floormat area is minimally different. pls correct me if im wrong. Eric, ive dropped you an email couple of days ago. I suppose u r v bz, but am responding to your ad, to enquire how much is shipping to Singapore and more importantly if they are still in stock considering the level of interest here and everwhere!
Thanks
Terence |
