Cool, thanks. My stock version works just fine, but then I saw your setup & suddenly thought about changing it. |

Shaka - more info please. I like the looks of your setup. |
I got my setup from CB performance:
http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1280
But that required that I had to install a button/switch which I just did under the dash. So nobody would really know where it is unless I explained it to them.
Here is a kit I found after the fact, same hardware but it appears it may come with a new wiper switch too that could activate the 12v system perhaps?!...

Hope this helps. _________________ ~ Shaka! ~ FB! ~ (1971 VW Squareback) ~ |

Are you looking for something like this?
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=610394
I took that out of my 1970 standard and upgraded to a 12v system. If you want it (the orig one) let me know!
Here is how the orig one looks installed:
(although the hose wasn't attached to the valve stem as it should be)
Here is what I have installed now:

The filler neck goes through the center hole of the tire and the 2 teats go through two of the lug holes in the tire. A couple cotter pins will hold it in place.

|
|
i'm trying to get the washer setup going in my 70 baja. i have everything i need except the correct bottle.
i have a bottle out of a 72 super but with the front end cut there really isn't any good place to mount it.
so, i'm going to get hold of the correct bottle but i can't see how to mount it in it's recess. is there a bracket or something i don't have? |
