These were available to anyone who wanted to walk into the dealership and buy one. Photo is from the 1971 VW accessories brochure.

Cool find.....from what I have been told by a factory vw service tech who worked for VW through the mid sixties and early seventies, these square vw logo embossed hazet tool kits were given to each service tech by VW.

I was able to locate one of these from this vw tech mentioned above in the early nineties....the unit I had was all factory HAZET with the test light still in its original blue pouch....it was never used with the original carboard cover that the toolkit slid into, pretty much new.....it is now in DannyZ's collection.

When I found this item I had never seen one only the round toolkits...pretty cool find for you!
