Won't last very long without a fan belt, that's for sure! Wink

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a turbocharged stock 1600?

that NEEDS a demello crank in there, h beams and forged pistons at the very least.....

what he meant was, this will make 300 bhp, for 5 seconds at 40 psi.
after that, suggest driver and bystanders have flak jackets... Very Happy

Hi Raaaid, hope things are going well with your build, sounds like I have a very similar build going back here in the 3rd world Laughing

Only problem is I have a way too big turbo on mine wich Miniman and the friendly fundi's around here were so polite to enlighten me about. So I'll be looking for a smaller turbo, though budget is low Embarassed ,

Please let us know how it goes and tell us a bit about the spec's and turbo size on your engine?

Waiting in anticipation Twisted Evil

1 5/8 piping is perfect. This setup should make 300 at the flywheel all day long. Smaller pipe would make it spool a tad earlier, but youll be just fine. id say start at 15 psi and about 22 degrees total with that dist. Just get a nice hot coil. pertronix one is great. get vid of it too. Smile

Oh, and make sure that turbo has the correct seals in it. If it came from a blowthrough car, not a draw through car... It will have the wrong seals for drawthrough. Youll need to pull it apart and retrofit it.

That is almost too pretty to crank! Very nice looking set-up. If it runs half as good as it looks, it should fly!

Beautiful!

What turbo is that? Looks like a Nissan T25 or T28?
I love my T25.
It's performed flawlessly on my 1600.
Yours makes mine look like junkyard fodder, though. Very Happy

Go sane on the cam and you're gonna have a blast.
I'm using the stock VW with 1.25's with excellent results.
