Fairweathers dash organizer is my favorite interior mod. I think its safe to say that you'll get alot more use out of fairweathers work than out of the factory ashtray. _________________ 89 Bostig powered syncro westy |

I'm *REALLY* pleased with the Dash Organizer I got from Fairweather. It's very nicely made and finished, fits perfectly, and does a great job holding various cups plus all my change, etc... He shipped it immediately too. Definite must-have accessory for me.

I can do all sorts of custom mods that make it fit your specific purposes. Here's one I made for a customer that wanted coin trays to keep the change handy for when driving alot of toll roads.
Here's a size comparison between the smaller version and the normal version that also has a flat space installed for mounting gauges.

Hey Joe...there is another thread showing how you can remove the front panel under your feet and under the seat and there is a nice area to make a sliding door in there. |

While we're on the topic of organizing, I found one of these at Target and wood-screwed it in to the space on the front of the driver's seat pedestal...Doesn't interfere with my feet and offers handy storage right beneath you. I can't find the tan one that I have, but this is basically the same thing. I need to find another tan one for the passenger side:

Very nice indeed.
If possible show a pic of the dovetails.
These are not just thrown together.

Received mine today and I am thrilled with it. It molds beautifully to the contour of the dash and it is a high quality piece of workmanship. When I first installed it I was worried it would block the site line to the radio and dash knobs.... it doesn't! Ergonomically designed and well thought out accessory for the Vanagon. _________________ 1989 Westy WBX 2.1 automatic |

I checked out the website; both the dash and floor organizers look great. Very nice work! Building a floor organizer and some trays to go between front and jump seats (Wolfsburg edition) have been on my to-do list for awhile. I'm not a fan of driving with hot coffee on the dash, but it sure would be nice for when I'm parked or for light things like my sunglasses when I'm driving. _________________ 1988 Wolfsburg Edition, 2001 Subaru EJ251 |

there's good pictures on the website, and the stuff does look very well made! I don't want stuff on my dash, but the center floor storage, unlike my plastic gowesty thing, looks solid and fits the floor angle. Very nice. _________________ 1991 Westy |

Not sure if this kind of thing is frowned on here in the forums, but I'm giving his dash organizer a huge THUMBS-UP |
It should not be frowned upon, this is exactly what forums are all about. Sharing user experiences with vendors, tools, techniques, etc.... _________________ 1988 Vanagon GL - For Sale
