I am absolutely loving it. I have cut new door panels and had chosen a crazy cool sugar skull pattern fabric, but was hung up on the headliner. Gonna look around for old blinds, etc. May have to take a page from one of you guys' book!

3M adheisive to hold them in place temp and then hot glue along the edges (top, bottom & sides) then hot glue in between the slats where the board is curved. Then I just screwed them to the doors like a regular door/kick panel. btw, cutting the holes for the head light buckets was a PITA!!

It looks good, I'd be tempted to do something to my interior like that, as it isn't the prettiest. I won't deal with pulling the headliner off tho', I think it looks okay enough.

Voodooking, do you have any pics showing the wood reaching the rear window?

believe it or not - window blinds @ Walmart, K-mart, Target, etc. I used the same ones on my DC for the door/kick panels only I kept the strings in place. Mine just aren't as dark or it could be the different cameras.

those cant be the same

might not be the exact colors, but pretty much close to what I was given with the strings ( I was just happy they were cut into flat slats) I originally wanted some I found at Pier 1 that had hints of green in them but were kinda pricey to chop up for a headliner, so when my buddy was throwing away his, I wasnt complaining they were free.

but you can buy some of the same types from home improvement stores in other finishes, mine just have a yellowy/orange cast to them from whatever stain was on them (unless it was just the natural color of that particular bamboo) I really never had a theme to my interior, just slapped some stuff in it here and there to make it eclectic and fun.

I used the leftover maple blinds from my kitchen to do mine after I saw your car.

The trick is to keeping those things lined up and flat.

the flat slat style is what I am looking for. I thought about the blinds but wondered if there was somewhere else I could get the slats. I guess it is time to keep an eye out for them on Craigslist.

Voodooking, do you have any more pics of the interior of your bug? I think the thing is awesome, I've seen it in other threads, and it's pretty much what comes to mind when I think of a real individual ride.
