Your whole engine is wider.
The 36 horse has a 64mm stroke, your 2110 has an 82mm stroke. that's a combined total of 36mm extra width, the size of your rear axle or flywheel gland, nut. It's not GOING to fit correctly.
Honestly? Id use the one you have as a pattern, het some tin snips, and a chunk of sheet metal, and make your own, if you have the tools. Otherwise, make the one you have, fit as well as you can, knowing that it is going to be too narrow. _________________ 2003 Samba Chummie Winner- Best Story

not wide enough where? around the arch of the block? if so, i think id rather trim from there than from everywhere else. _________________ 1951 Deluxe Sunroof Beetle (11C Model)

|

Hello all,
Quick question. I have a 2110 in my split with an autolinea block and Im not satisfied with the unorthodox fit and look of the aftermarket late model firewall tin that the previous owner slapped back there. I have the motor out currently and was wondering if anyone here could tell me if i am correct in assuming the tin that i need to fit my firewall arch is the 25 or 36 horse rear firewall tin? will the 40hp tin fit? just want to make sure i get what works with my application. thanks again. _________________ 1951 Deluxe Sunroof Beetle (11C Model)
