All Type 3's had color matching fender beading. Part of the joy of restoring is finding a set. Confused Laughing

Keep in mind that you can use passenger on driver and vise versa. Yes part of the profile is different but once installed you can not tell.

Looking for a full set of Lotus White for my 68 Notchback if there is any out there?
Is there a chart or any info on the colour of fender beading when original?
I guess what I'm asking is, did all 68 Notchbacks have colour matching fender beading? I ask because I bought my car in pieces and the fender beading isn't with the car.

I'm a buyer for whichever green beading is the darkest green (I can't tell, I'm color blind). My square is a light green and when I put a dark green (peru?) mustache seal on, it looked to contrast very nicely with the light green.

Which green would be the darkest? And, does anyone have a complete set of it? Smile

Black is so hard to find- I spent big $$ getting NOS black beading for my early squareback and it's still impossible to get.

That said, I might have a couple of spare pieces in the garage. I would rather trade it for pieces I need than sell it though.

I bought a brand new Roll of black Beetle beading for $25. My 69 had new black beading installed after it's new blue paint job. I Like the contrasting colors like Beetles have! Cool

Paint it to match if you want!

ok what is this number

311 821 716 A

its rear i assume but for what notch or square

i found out what it is

but I do have a question

how do you tell visually from rear beading for square/notch/fasty

Notchback beading has the rear apron piece, fasty and square don't, it is a small separate piece.

You are missing the color code. There will be an additional 3 digits, that give the color code, on anything that is colored.

your dreams can come true, ive managed to collect a set of black beading in seperate transactions

it just takes abit of time and some scouring of the classifieds,I found it easier to collect pieces at a time rather than wait for a full set to appear
