Maybe so, but duplicating decals, logos, etc. is so common today it's almost absurd; much like downloading music for free. Such is the age of technology.
Camera + Photoshop + Printer =
Take a picture of one that's still in good shape, Photoshop your specific number onto it, and print it out (at home or pay a shop). Will it be original? No; but at least you'll still have the decal in some form. If I can clean mine up enough, I'll gladly supply the "base model" to work from*, unless someone else has a better one, or already has a picture of it.
*Yes, the van is presently in AZ, but it spent its first 20 years in CA; so, yes, I am talking about the CA Title 25 RV decal gizmo. _________________ ~Kamz

I agree - check with your AAA office (if you're a member of course) or directly with the DMV.
It is a Calif. DMV sticker (aluminum) and would be illegal to duplicate. And it is a very important sticker to have - just in case you come across an over zealous law enforcement officer --- think opened containers, etc. _________________ 89 Westy

I'd call AAA or DMV and ask. I have that plate as well, and it saved my butt when the RV tow showed up and tried to contend it wasn't an RV so that I'd have to pay!
There are specific privileges to having that plate in CA. _________________ 1986 Westy - Billie Jean

Check out this website. http://www.decalsonly.com/catalog/index.php I purchased some replicas of the factory propane warning decals from them. If they don't have it, they might be able to make one. |

OK I have a 82 Westy and on the Passenger side it has a Seal of CA sticker with a serial number, it is all kinda chipping away and is about to get sanded off for paint. Does anybody know where I can get another one, or if it is worth the hassle it is kinda cool I think it is associated with bieng an RV type vehicle not sure..
Any thought out there on it.
