I do now. Rechecked hall sender wires in the distributor (boy do they look fragile) sprayed the connector with electrical cleaner and used wire brush. Checked all ignition wires. Made sure everything was seated and snug.
Started right up. _________________ '89 Vanagon GL "Whitestar" Wolfsburg edition. 4-speed, 2.1L

Had my throttle body off to replace the TPS with the one Van Cafe sells. Installed and adjusted switch with ohm meter. Also replaced the worn out spring on the TB shaft with a newer one, for snappy return to idle position. Carefully reinstalled the TB, hooked up all air/vacuum/electrical. Adjusted throttle cable. Aside from that I took off the distributor cap b/c I wanted to inspect the hall sender wires.
Starter cranks. No start. Checked cap, plug wires, AFM harness connection, oxygen sensor connections, swapped fuel injection relays. Nothing.
I can hear the fuel pump working and the idle stabilizer is vibrating. Is the suspect the rotor cap? It looks fairly new.
Van always started before I had the TB out, but is has been sitting in my driveway for 10 days. Where do I start? _________________ '89 Vanagon GL "Whitestar" Wolfsburg edition. 4-speed, 2.1L
