The hot dayglow spray paint is good for at least 5 horsepower. Plus ignition sparks you can see are more powerful than hidden ones! _________________

Pretty obvious he hated it. No fan, no cooling tin, no air cleaners... the only thing left to do to try to kill the engine would be to run it without oil as well. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

One of the reasons Ed hated 'Wishbone' was Revel didn't want to pay him to build a model of it. He also hated the way it rode. He cut it in pieces, and told Dirty Doug to throw it away. Doug stashed it away and sold it to Ed's son, Reno (that's Reno in the pic). Reno restored it, much to Ed's dismay.
My brother had a ragtop named the 'Ol Gray Mare'. Ed lettered it on the back of his Wink mirror. Ed was responsible for numerous parts on the ragtop. He had a mini junkyard in his backyard. My brother would come with a question, and Ed would send him to the backyard to grab more parts. |

That custom with a “k”.
I’m more curious on the narrowed rear axles. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

I'd love to hear that thing run, and there is a temp gauge that'd be a fun experiment. |

No, it was posted by a "young lady" that asked why the studs were not long enough.
The picture was a keeper. _________________ Glenn

At the very least it looks like they used longer studs to take advantage of all the thread in the case. I had a bay-window with an oil pump mustache bar adapter, the stock studs were holding on by about 1 twist. Guess what happened next. |

there's even a plug underneath which means that's a big enough trailer to have lights so its not like its a small trailer you might use for say hauling leaves around your yard or something.
I wonder how much the cover flexes and how much the force of the trailer pushing forward when you stop has caused the gears to eat into the cover?
in all actuality, its probably been in use like this for over a decade _________________ "how am i supposed to torque the rear wheel nut to 250 ft lbs??? " - clonebug
An interesting thing happens in forums where everyone starts parroting the same thing and "common knowledge" takes over.
Most experts aren't. |
