Thanks guys, hopefully these will survive in my 12:1 desert motor as long as I don't get greedy and try to lean it out too much this time!

Narrow envelope: 150 main/120Z air was rich, 140 main and 150Z air burnt through #3! Damn it ran nice until though..... I'm thinking 145 or 147.5 with 120Z this time around depending on what the AFX tells me. It's just money right!?!

Might get high but you will get a better view! Very Happy

I referenced AC.Net in my first post above. FYI. YMMV. AFL/CIO RIP IRS....

all stock pistons were made the same way . you get what you pay for .i like A&A pistons i think there stock cast pistons are the same as mahle . if you want better pistons go with a set of mahle forged pistons . from $170.00 to $200.00 a set now adays . spencerfvee...................................

I have a set of the Mahle Cast with the steel strut in the wrist pin area, that strikes me as not good since it's dissimilar metal to the piston and I would think that it would expand differently than the rest of the piston when pushed to the limit. The oil ring slot is also alarming with how large it is, I've read that these pistons will sometimes crack with this large cutout in the piston. The cylinders seem to be reasonable quality, and all the pistons/cylinders seemed to deck very consistently when I mocked up the pistons/cylinders.

Anyone here have any real experience or knowledge of whether the AA's are much different or similar in quality? The AA's are much cheaper and I'm hoping they are a decent alternative or possible better?
