Wonder if the new owner put the car back to stock height?
Putting cars back to factory stock is the rage now!

Cheron sold the oval last autumn, the new owner drove by my house last week. Said he got in as a present for his 50th birthday. Of course we had a good oval talk because he saw my oval standing outside my house.
I think it is in good hands, still looking good.
Cheron got a late bay, now. _________________ I got a historic car, every scratch got a history...

Cheron, your car is nearly as beautiful as your country! Congratulations on such a great find. The look and stance are perfect and I love that you use it every day. I am moving to Oslo in January and one day I hope to have my own barn find VW in Norway! We can go for a cruise |

Sweet car. I liked it when you got it, and still like it. Wounder how it would look with black wheels and stock hubcaps? Maybe like this?

Then Oval repaired!.
It turns out that I have mounted the fan with the wrong washer. I've used regular flat washers on one side and the special album on the other side.
There should be a special washer on one side and one wavy washer on the other side. This was now mounted and fan of 34 horses. More cooling
Thanks for your help Kjell Roar!

Is perhaps a false alarm.
Got sms from Kjell Roar to take off the fan belt and start the engine. Bank sound is gone. Is the alternator jumping around!
Being replaced alternator tomorrow, again |

Driven 101100 km so it is well anyway time for new engine |
Wouldnt it be better to rebuild the original? its always better to keep the original motor with a car of this age. _________________ Fender Bug |

| Just keep it. Cover it up and don't worry about using it. Drive it on the weekend to get a burger. You'll regret selling it. Do you need the money? I've had my 58 for 30 years, and I hardly ever drive it. |
