Getting a bit more done this week. Front cab headliner from Sewfine and the first ceiling panel in today. Not screwed in, obviously.

Yep, I can sleep in here.
Been re-working the rear corners as one of the panels I previously cut snapped as I put it into place. Went back to the old paper corners and laminated wood to it. Took 3 days to finish because of drying time and then to finish with stain and Varathane. Installed it today and though it does not look as nice as the baltic birch paneling, it will suffice. Everythink back together, rear carpet glued down, rear mattress section upholstered and it fits nicely.
Got the ceiling pieces cut and stained today. Another couple of days process but it will allow me some free time to work out somethings in the cab area.

Thank you. Not certain if it will be highway ready till next spring/summer. Found that I have some front end issues that need to be dealt with and I have not had the time to get around to them yet. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Finally got back to finishing up the Westy bed.
Bolted it down this morning, began cutting the rear foam when it began to rain. It will be covered in the same material and I think I will be quite comfortable on it.

Finished cutting and assembling the two armrests today. Still have some fine tuning to do, but they will look great once padded and upholstered.
Ordered 5" foam for the seats and parcel area as well as the thin foam for the armrests.

Edges sanded down, corners rounded & screw holes filled and sanded. First coat of stain. This will be the foam side of the seat.
This is the back.
Seat bottom.

Not a day of rest, though it seems that way since I am working on home projects and the 66 bus. Cut the custom seat back and seat bottom down to size this morning. Have more work to do to them, rounding corners, filling screw holes, sanding, staining and prepping for foam cushions and upholstery. Had a brainstorm this morning. Going to cut and add armrests on each side of the bed, just like the OG westy bed had on one side.

Working on laminating 3/4" baltic birch to a 1/4" sheet of birch so I can get the correct thickness for the seat bottom and back.
I screwed thru the 1/4 inch since it will be under the foam, but I will remove them once the glue has set (48 hours). Cut each piece 2" wider and longer then needed so I can later trim it down to size on a table saw.
Wish me luck...

After finding out that the Just Kampers R&R bed hinges would not work with the box I built, I had the original Westy hinges altered (passenger side) so I could use them.
Got them back yesterday, primed and painted them today, in gun metal grey.
Install begins tomorrow.

Not certain about that yet. Need to get it out and camp in it once to see if I will need them. I thought about the possibility of putting a fold up hatch over the side cabinet which could be used as a table.
I have been saving a spice rack and fold up door table, though. I'll see.
BTW, thank you. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Not for now. I doubt I will be driving this bus out to the coast at any point until I move back west.
I have a Becker 9'0" small box tail Thruster and a 9'6" Midget Farrelly pintail Thruster. All of my older longboards are out at my cousins in Lecaudia, CA.
One is a 10' Dewey Weber single fin and a 9'0" Surfboards Hawaii noserider. I gave my shortboards to my godson. _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

Been back at it, finally finished the bulkhead cabinets. It is two pieces for easy removal. I had to change the design of the larger cabinet doors and drawer midstream because the oval cut jig I made was giving me trouble. Sussed it out when I got to the second cabinet.
Bed is on hold because the Just Kampers hinges would not work with bed box I built, so instead I am having the original Westy bed passenger side hinge altered by a machine/welding shop so it will match the drivers side hinge.
Should have them back in a few days.
