The loss would only be ten bucks or so, still . . .

I've dealt with delinquents before through PayPal and had good luck each time. If nothing gets resolved by the end of the week, I'll file a grievance and see how things go.

Not worried about the $$, but I really wanted one so that's sort of a disappointment.

Yeah for those who aren't aware there is a time limit on registering a PayPal complaint so it's always wise to launch a complaint as soon as you feel uneasy about a deal. You don't have to escalate the complaint until the time limit approaches and of course you can cancel the complaint if they come through.

PayPal will not back you up, even if the terms for the car were sent along with the payment. Ask me how I know this......

If you still want one you could probably go to a sign shop or whatever and have them make you some. I've never been to a place like that so I don't know how it works, I was going to try and do the clock/ tach conversion.

Best of luck.

Yikes, Thanks for the heads up.

I assume that they charged your card, have you tried calling or emailing them yet?

Ordered one of those at the end of last month, still hasn't arrived.

Be CAREFUL, might be a scam of some sort, shouldn't take this long to toss one into an envelope and mail it out.

Caution ! !

I agree, it would probably cover up most of my numbers, considering mine are smaller and seem closer to the middle.

I think the problem with those stickers is they are difficult to read...a light overprint on a bolder original.

That is a superb idea! I think I will use either that idea, or yellow_submarine's.

I'll just buy a clock from a swap meet, or parts car so I don't have to tear apart mine, and I can keep it stored away for when i decide I need a clock. i would hate to tear it all apart and then decide I don't want/need a tach.

I appreciate the link! It's a wonderful comprise between stock, and custom.

For the '72-'74 ghia clocks, see what SkrapMetal did in this thread:

You can take the ring off your clock or any 2 1/16 gauge and use it on your tach.

No problem!

I still might get one, even if I don't install it on my ghia.

Let us all know how it goes - just incase anyone else is interested in getting one.

Wish I had just a clock to replace, I hardly car about the clock! It functions but it isn't even set right as of now - I unlplug the battery too often. But the guage serves to many purposes, almost wish I had a 69-71. Gotta love the 73 though Wink it goes 120mph

I love the tach that I got here on Samba -- fellow removes the clock and puts a new tach in with a clock 'hand' so the white pointer is perfect. Nobody knows the difference. He even supplies the clock so you can keep your old one.

Two years later and we're happy with it.

I know when to shift Cool lol all I get to do is listen to the tone of my engine. I thought it would be a cool accessory that I've never seen before on a vw. But it does kind of make a mess on the speedo. Guess I can live without it!

Might be cool to put one in the clock area of the ghia

And I simply can't bring myself to replace the clock guage for a tach, Or cut a hole in my dash!suppose I'm a bit of a purist in ways.

Quote:
run it up till she vibrates and shift

haha too bad mine always vibrates! Shocked
