Hello experts.
I took these front shocks off my '55 and was hoping to find out what year they could be. What looks like a date code is 4U36, and 5V35.
I know absolutely sure they were on the car in the early 70s, and based on the level of rust they had, the appeared old then. Been in dry storage since 1982.
They do not leak and work perfectly based on manually moving them, although not as tight as the new rear shocks I just bought.
I blasted and painted them, and plan on using them again. With some new bushings though. _________________ 1-0900722 die langsame grüne Schildkröte
