My dream ride - RS6 engine and drive train under a decent Vanagon body. Sleeper.

Just to participate...
One dream would be built in 4 corner hydraulic jacks
so I could jack it up any time any where, change a tire or peep at the leaks...but then another dream is a vanagon without coolant leaks. Sounds like a 911 engine swap dream.

A realistic dream is AC.
Installing nut-serts or riv-nuts in every hole with a sheet metal screw. Every damn hole.
I'm starting with the gate bumpers.

Just remember though, these words of wisdom
https://youtu.be/QcxWxNO8idc

Except for a transmission that's kinda basic everyone needs that.

Is it a dream mod if it can be done or is it only a DM is it's near impossible ?
If it's only for dreams I'd go back in time and sneak a stack of stainless steel sheets in the pile heading for doka production, all the guages needed to produce an entire doka and it's stamped suspension parts. 304 is fine.

To peel away the metal cocoon of my 1984 Westfalia and find an emerging butterfly trapped inside....a 2021 VW T6.1 California Ocean!

Eh, not hassling with loading up a car with a tent, camp stove, and water jugs for spur of the moment trips was already a dream come true.

I guess I'd settle for an easy to install upgraded gas tank (no saddle/hoses and greater capacity) and some functional skid plates for a 2WD engine/trans.
