One hose goes to the water pump and the other goes to the thermostat hosing IIRC.
Having had one of those hoses fail once, I just eliminated the cooler altogether, plugged hole in the water pump, and blocked the port in the thermostat hosing and just let the synthetic oil I run do the job of handling the heat. The 1.9L ran fine without the cooler and the 2.1L will do just as well. |

Hi folks, I cannot find a reference diagram showing where the two hose connections from the stock oil cooler on a 2.1 lead to. There are two hoses, one with a sharper bend than the other. I know one goes to the metal "U" bend pipe that goes to the water pump, but not sure where the other one goes. I forgot to take a reference pic of this area. Can anyone show me a pic of how these hoses are connected? Many thanks,
Andy |
